Whiteford Lighthouse
You can park up at Cwm Ivy near Llanmadoc, A brisk
walk past a pine forest and limestone outcrops and then across the
salwater marsh and you
are on the beach. At low tide the cockle gatherers can be seen harvesting
their crop - keep on walking (Think Lawrence of Arabia) and you will
eventually reach the end of the spit and the Lighthouse. As an alternative
route back, walk around the spit and back along the paths adjacent
to the the freshwater marsh.
