The 2003 Mumbles Raft Race is being hailed as the best ever, having raised more than £13,000 for the RNLI. Approximately 60 rafts took part in the 1 mile dash from Norton to Knab Rock. The crowd gathered along the promenade was estimated to be about 15,000 strong. The event was won by the by the team entered by the Antelope Pub, who took just 16 minutes to complete the course.
