4. Prince's Fountain On the left you will see a drinking fountain, this was built in 1863 to commemorate the marriage of Edward, Prince of Wales to Princess Alexander. Continue across the road, you will see a milestone that reads 5 miles to Swansea Castle. As you carry on walking look out for the quaint cottages up Western Lane and Village Lane. Cross the road here, take care, as it can be busy, walk past the park to the seafront. The promenade follows the track of the Mumbles Railway and continues to the Pier. |
