Llangennith is a popular destination with watersports enthusiasts. The beach faces the Atlantic swells and is the most consistent surfing beach on Gower, it is also the longest beach three miles from Burry Holms in the north to Rhossili in the south.

There is a caravan and campsite, shops and surfboard hire all available in the car park at Hill End. In the village there is a Post Office, Pub and Surf Shop. If you have ever wanted to try surfing this is the place.

For people who want to keep their feet on dry land, there are several walks to choose from. One of the best is to walk across the beach to Rhossili, climb up Rhossili Down, along the top back to Llangennith. There are spectacular panoramic view over the bay and east back down the peninsula.

There is a large car park situated at Hill End with easy access to the beach. It is an ideal beach for families, with shelter in the sand dunes on breezy days.
