Guided by professional qualified crew with excellent local knowledge, you will encounter a wealth of marine wildlife, fascinating local history (from prehistoric bone caves to tales of smugglers) and a unique thrill as we skim across the open water. With Gower being the UKs first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the coast affords many chances to stop and take it all in. Whether to talk, take photos, watch birds and seals at play in their natural habitat or just to pause and admire the scenery that inspired Dylan Thomas in some of his most renowned poems.

What ever your level of experience from complete beginner to experienced sailor you will find something available at Rainbow Sailing School to satisfy your requirements. We are an R.Y.A. Recognised Teaching Establishment and our school yachts are a Beneteau First 285, a Beneteau First 375, and a Beneteau First 405.These are fast responsive yachts which are fully equipped and licensed by the DoT for offshore sailing. Our School Principal Roger Bennett is an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Instructor and all our skippers and instructors are RYA /DoT qualified. Our U/K courses are run from Swansea Marina which is well situated as a base for sailing the Welsh Coast and the West Country or sailing to Southern Ireland. For day sailing the Gower peninsular offers an ideal sailing area with many suitable bays for a lunchtime anchorage. We provide a friendly flexible service with a high standard of seamanship and tuition. We offer a variety of courses and sailing activities for leisure breaks afloat and a comprehensive range of shorebased courses.
